Darcy's Caring Heart
Darcy is and will always be my best friend. He is such a good man. Just to save the reputation of the Bennets, Darcy paid Wickham a large sum of money. I do not know many people who would pay one of their most hated acquaintances money to marry someone not even related to him. He is such a giving man. He hates Wickham for what he did to his sister and father, but he still payed off much of his debt. This is why I have always loved Darcy. I hope I can always stay good friends with him.

I'm relieved that your relationship with Darcy has stayed strong. It saddens me to think that your friendship might have ended. We are both lucky to have friends so close to us, that we would trust them through anything. For me, it is my sister Lizzy. I know that I can trust her though anything.
ReplyDeleteI am beginning to see what you see in Darcy after all the previous hatred I held for him. I only hope now that the embarassment of my family hasn't scared him away from ever thinking me a suitable wife. I see why you, always a very upbeat and friendly guy, would have interest in being such close friends with Mr. Darcy, whom I once thought of as a self-absorbed introvert. I cannot wait for your arrival in Hertfordshire, but I'm embarassed to be having Darcy there also after all that he has done for my family.
