Darcy in Love
While I was at Lambton, I started to notice that Darcy has been acting very different. When he was in Hertfordshire, he told me he would never dance with Elizabeth because she was not handsome enough to tempt her. Now, I can tell he is in love with her. He asked her to marry him, but she declined it. I can tell he is not upset, he is just looking to impress her so he may have a better chance the next time he asks. I know he truly loves Elizabeth because there is no other motive I see. He does not want any of her sisters and he is much more wealthy than the Bennet family, so it is not for money. I hope he does what makes him happy, even if this includes marrying Elizabeth Bennet.

I applaud you for focusing on your friend's happiness. This must be especially difficult since he separated us. Lizzy is a wonderful girl and has better character than most girls in London. Money has little importance in love. It really shouldn't make a difference as long as two people are happy with each other.
